Traditional Beef Chili from a Crock Pot
What’s Required:
12 pound of beef ground
6 minced garlic cloves
Diced tomatoes from 3 cans
2 drained and rinsed cans of kidney beans, dark red
Two cans of cooked, drained and rinsed light red beans with kidneys
The equivalent of 2 corn cans
White sugar, 3 tablespoons
Oregano, dried, 2 teaspoons
Dried Basil, 1 Tablespoon
12 cup ground red pepper
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Crumble the meat and put it to a skillet with some garlic, oregano, basil, and chili powder and cook it over medium heat. Brown the meat fully, which should take around eight to ten minutes of cooking time. Combine the meat, corn, tomatoes, and light red beans such as kidneys in a slow cooker. Put the lid on and cook on low for 2 hours. The chili needs an additional six hours of simmering time once the sugar has been added. Before serving, season with sugar and freshly ground black pepper.
